Ó MAOLGHAOITHE—IO Mulgehy, O Mulgey, Mulgeehy, (Magee), Wynne; 'descendant of Maolghaoithe' (chief of the wind); the name of a Tirconnell family who were seated originally in the parish of Clondavaddock, Co. Donegal; now more common in Connacht, where, however, it is generally disguised under the anglicised forms of Magee and Wynne (for Wind).
