Ó hÉIMHRÍN—I—Heverine, Heveran, Heveron, Hefferin, &c.; 'descendant of Éimhrín' (diminutive of Éimhear); the name of a family of Cinel Eoghain, still extant in Mayo. O'Donovan erroneously supposed it to be a corruption of Ó hUathmharáin. It is, however, mentioned by MacFirbis.
