KILLEANY, a parish, in the barony of STRADBALLY, QUEEN'S county, and province of LEINSTER, 3 miles (N.) from Stradbally, on the road from that place to Portarlington; containing 121 inhabitants. Petty sessions for the district are held here irregularly.

The living is a rectory, in the diocese of Leighlin, and in the patronage of the Bishop: the tithes amount to £50.

In the R. C. divisions it forms part of the union or district of Stradbally. There are some remains of the ancient castle.
