Ó hUARGHUIS—I—(O Fworishe), Horish; 'descendant of Uarghus' (cold-choice); corruptly Ó hUaruisce, which see; the name of an Ulster family who were anciently lords of Ui Meith; now scattered through West Ulster and North Connacht, where, owing to local corruptions, it is variously anglicised.
