Ó FIACHA, Ó FIACHACH—IO Fiecha, O Fiaghy, O Fyhie, Fyfee, Fye, Fee, and, by 'translation,' Hunt and Vingin; 'descendant of Fiacha'; a common surname in Waterford and other parts of Munster, where it is now anglicised Hunt, by supposed translation. It was also in use in Monaghan and Donegal, but seems to have there been merged in the surname Ó Fiaich, which see.
