Mac THÓM—VM'Com, M'Come, MacComb, MacCombs, MacCombes, Combes, Homes, Holmes; 'son of Thome' (a short form of Thomas). This surname probably came to us from Scotland, but it was in use in Sligo, Leitrim and Louth before the end of the 16th century. See Mac Thómais.
