Mac An Abbadh

Rev Patrick Woulfe
1923

Mac an ABBADH—VIIM'an Abba, M'Enabb, MacAnabb, MacNabb; 'son of the abbot.' The MacNabbs are mostly of Scottish descent, apparently very few of the name being Irish. They were a branch of the MacKinnons, and at one time a clan of considerable importance.
