CORCA LAOIGHDHE, race of Lughaidh Laidhe, grandfather of Lughaidh MacCon, monarch of Ireland in the 3rd century; the name of a great clan in the south-west of Co. Cork, whose territory was co-extensive with the Diocese of Ross, and of which the O'Driscolls and O'Learys were the chief families.
