The Bennett Family

THE Bennett family is of Norman extraction, and came to Ireland in the year 1172, settling in the present Counties of Cork, Dublin, and Kings County, where many of the name still reside.

A noted member of this family in the United States is Colonel Michael Bennett, of Brooklyn, N. Y., who served with credit during the late Civil War.
