Ó FLANNABHRA—I—O Flanura, O Flanory, Flannery; 'descendant of Flannabhra' (red-eyebrows); the name (1) of a family of the Ui Fidhgheinte, in the present Co. Limerick, but long dispersed through Munster; and (2) of a family of Ui Fiachrach who were formerly seated in the neighbourhood of Killala, but are now dispersed through Connacht.
