UADLÓC*—XIWodeloc, Woodloge, Woodlock; i.e., 'at the woodlock,' or enclosure in or by a wood, from residence thereby. This surname came into Ireland about the time of the Anglo-Norman invasion. It appears to have been most numerous in Tipperary.
