Ó hÁILLE—IO Hally, Hally; 'descendant of Áille,' or 'Ainle' (handsome, beautiful; also a hero or warrior); the name of a Thomond family who were seated at Baile Uí Áille, now anglicised Ballyally, near Bunratty, in Co. Clare. See Ó hAinlighe.
