Mac THORCAILL—V—MacCorkill, MacCorkell, MacCorrikle, MacCorkle, Corkhill; a variant of Mac Torcaill, which see. Mac Torcaill was a common surname among the Danes of Dublin, in the 12th century; but as a present-day surname, it seems to be of Scottish origin.
