Mac MAOILÍOSA—IV—(?) M'Myllis, Malise, Mellis; 'son of Maol Íosa' (servant of Jesus). This surname, which was borne by an Archbishop of Armagh towards the close of the 13th century, is probably now obsolete in Ireland, but survives in Scotland, anglicised Malise and Mellis.
