Mac GEIRBLE—IV—M'Keribly, (Kirby); 'son of Geirble'; the name of an old Mayo family from whom the townland of Carrowkeribly, in the parish of Attymas, is so called. It is still extant in Co. Mayo, but always anglicised Kirby.
