Mac DHUIBHÍN—IV—M'Kevine, M'Kevyn, MacKevin, MacEvin, MacAvin; 'son of Duibhín' (a diminutive of dubh, black); a rare surname. In the 16th century, it was almost peculiar to Sligo and Donegal.
