Mac an ÓGLAOICH—VIIM'Nogly, now probably Nagle; 'son of the soldier' (Irish 'óglaoch'); the name of a Sligo family who were erenaghs of the church of Killery, near Lough Gill. It is probably still extant under the anglicised form of Nagle.
