Mac an BHIOCÁIRE, Mac an BHIOCARA—VII—M'Evicare, M'Ivickaire, M'Vycare, MacVicar, MacVicker, MacVickar, Vickery, Vicars, Vickers, Vickars, etc.; 'son of the vicar' (Irish 'biocáire.') This surname, in the great majority of instances, is of Scottish origin. As an Irish surname, it was exceedingly rare.
