HOIBEÁRD—VIII—Hebbard, Habert, Habbert, Hobart, Hobert, Hubbert, Hubbard, Herbert; 'son of Herbert,' not 'son of Hubert,' as one would be inclined to make it. It was a variant of Hoireabárd (which see), and was formerly common in Limerick and Cork.
