Son of the foregoing Hugh Primrose Dean. He was put by his father into the Navy, but afterwards settled in Cork, where he worked as a painter and drawing-master, and is mentioned as such in the will of his uncle David Dean in 1795, and also in the Cork Directory. By his wife Charlotte he had a daughter Harriet, born in Cork in 1788.
