Humphry—This name is the anglicised form assumed by numbers of the McAuliffe (Mac Amhlaibh) sept of Clanawley, Duhollow, Co. Cork.

The name Humphrey itself is of Cymric origin, and is found in Wales and Cornwall, and formerly in the Cymric Kingdom of Strathclyde.
