MAUL'S (ST.), a parish, within the liberties of the city of KILKENNY, county of KILKENNY, and province of LEINSTER: containing 1335 inhabitants, and comprising 309 statute acres. It is a rectory and vicarage, in the diocese of Ossory, entirely appropriate to the see: the tithes amount to £50, payable to the Ecclesiastical Commissioners.
In the R. C. divisions it forms part of the union or district of St. Canice.
