Faeilean, faeileog [fweelaun, fweeloge], a sea gull, naweelaun, naweeloge ("of the sea gulls"), wheelion, eelan.

Faill [foyle], a cliff; foyle, foil, fall. See Aill.

Faithche [faha], a green level space near a residency for games, exercises, etc.; a level field; faha, fahy, fa, foy, fy, fey feigh.


Fasach [faussagh], a wilderness; fasagh, fassagh, fassa.

Feadan [faddaun]; a streamlet; faddan, feddan, fiddan, fiddane, eddan.

Feadog [faddoge], a plover; viddoge, vaddoge, faddock, feddock.

Feannog [fannoge], a scaldcrow; finnoge, funnock, vannoge.

Fear [far], a man; fir, feara, men; fer, fir, and by eclipse, navar.

Fearann [farran],land; farran, farn, arran.

Fuinnse, fuinnseann, fuinnseog [funsha, funshan, funshoge], the ash tree; funcheon, funshin, funshinagh, funchoge. The f is omitted in the north, giving rise to such forms as unshin, unshinagh, inshinagh, unshog, hinchoge.
