SCOLÁRD—XIISkolard, Scolard, Scollard; English 'the Scholar,' i.e., one belonging to a school, a learned man; an old, but rare, Kerry surname. In the year 1601, Maurice Skolard of Castleisland was the recipient of a pardon from Queen Elizabeth.
