Ó hANGLUINN—IO Hanglin, Anglin, Anglim; 'descendant of Anglonn' (hero, champion); an old Cork surname, almost peculiar to that county; sometimes corrupted to Ó hAngluim and anglicised Anglim. The Four Masters, under the year 1490, record the death of Fionn Ua hAngluinn, chief tympanist of Ireland.
