Ó DROMA—IO Drommy, Dromey, Drummy, Drum, Drumra, (Drummond); 'descendant of Druim' (back); the name of an ecclesiastical family who were erenaghs of the parish of Kinnawley, in the Counties of Fermanagh and Cavan, where they are still numerous. Some of them settled in Munster in the 16th century, Solomon O'Droma was one of the compilers of the Book of Ballymote.
