Ó DOBHAILEIN—IO Deublinge, O Devlin, Develin, Devlin, &c.; 'descendant of Dobhailen'; the name (1) of a Sligo family who were anciently chiefs of Corca Firthri in that county, and are frequently mentioned in the Annals; and (2) of a Tyrone family who were chiefs of Muintar Devlin, on the west side of Lough Neagh, and now very numerous throughout Ulster. Also written Ó Doibhilein and Ó Doibhilín, which see.
