Ó CONNACHTÁIN—IO Connaghtane, Connaghtane, Connaughton, Connorton, Connerton; 'descendant of Connachtán' (diminutive of Connachtach); the name of a branch of the Ui Fiachrach, formerly seated in the townland of Cabragh, parish of Easkey, Co. Sligo, but at the end of the 16th century very scattered, being found in Roscommon, Donegal, Limerick and Kerry.
