Ó CONBÁGHA—IO Conebaghe, O Conba, Conba, Conbay, (Conboy, Conaboy, Corbett); 'descendant of Cú-bágha' (hound of battle); a rare surname. In the 16th century, it was found chiefly in Offaly, Tipperary and Cork; now also in Connacht. In Co. Limerick it is often disguised under the anglicised form of Corbett.
