Mac EACHMHÍLEADHA, Mac EACHMHÍLIDH—IV—M'Agholy, M'Aughelie, M'Cafely, MacCaughley, MacCaffaley, MacCaffely; 'son of Eachmhíleadh' (horse-soldier); a rare East Ulster surname. The family is probably a branch of that of Maguinness, among whom Eachmhíleadh was a favouite name.
