Mac DÁIBHIDH MÓR, Mac DHÁIBHIDH MÓR—VM'David More, M'Davy More, M'Damore, M'Amore, Davis; i.e., the great MacDavid; the title of the head of the family of Mac Dáibhidh in Co. Wexford, whose patrimony lay in the north-east of that county. O'Donovan states, on the authority of the Book of Leinster, that this family is descended from Murchadh na nGaedheal, brother of Dermot MacMurrough. The name is now anglicised Davis in Wexford.
