Mac CONULADH—IV—M'Anullo, M'Enully, M'Annoll, M'Cowla, M'Cowloe, M'Cowley, MacAnulla, MacNully, MacAnaul, MacKinaul, (MacNall), MacCullow, Culloo; 'son of Cú-Uladh' (hound of Ulidia, East Ulster); an East Ulster surname. The Cú of this surname is sometimes not inflected; hence the old anglicised forms M'Cowla, M'Cowloe, and the modern MacCullow, Culloo, &c.
