Mac ALSANDAIR—VM'Alexander, M'Alesandre, MacAlshander, MacAlshender, MacAlshinder, MacCalshander, MacElshander, MacKalshander, Alexander, etc.; 'son of Alexander,' (a not uncommon personal name among the Normans, specially common in Scotland).
