CINNSEALACH—XKinshellagh, Kinselagh, Kinshela, Kinsella, etc.; Irish 'Cinnsealach', i.e., belonging to Ui Cinnsealaigh, in Wexford; the name of a Wexford family who are descended from Enna Cinnsealach, son of Diarmaid Mac Murchadha, King of Leinster at the time of the Anglo-Norman invasion. Cinnsealach was, like Caomhánach (which see), an agnomen which supplanted the real surname. Ó Cinnsealaigh is also, though rarely, used.
