Was mint-master at Dresden, and engraver to Frederick Augustus, Elector of Saxony and King of Poland, from 1734 to 1764. Almost the entire coinage of Frederick Augustus and his successor Frederick Christian was his engraved work. His signature O'F.; F.W.O.F., and O'Ferral, occurs on coins issued by him for Saxony and Poland.
